Mr. Mihai Vioreanu is an Irish trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with expertise in knee and hip surgery obtained in Canada and Australia.
After graduating with honors from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy 'Victor Babes' Timisoara, Romania Mihai moved to Dublin where he completed his Specialty Training in Orthopaedic Surgery in RCSI. He pursued further sub-specialised training in Primary and Revision Hip and Knee Replacement at the world-renowned Arthroplasty Centre in Vancouver, Canada. He then travelled to Sydney, Australia during 2013 and 2014 to perform sports knee surgery (i.e. ACL reconstruction, tibial osteotomies, patello-femoral reconstruction) under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Justin Roe and Prof. Leo Pinczewski.
In 2014 Mr. Vioreanu was awarded the European ESSKA–APKASS Travelling Fellowship facilitating him to visit the best centers in Sports Knee Surgery in Asia-Pacific (China, Hong-Kong, New-Zealand, Australia and Japan), to learn, discuss and share advanced surgical techniques and participate in academic symposia.
Along with developing his orthopaedic surgical career Mihai also played international rugby and represented Romania at two Rugby World Cups, 1999 in Ireland and 2003 in Australia.
Mr. Vioreanu is highly involved in clinical research. He attended over 40 international courses and meetings and has published a number of high quality clinical studies, book chapters and surgical techniques. A keen teacher, he was the first Orthopaedic Lecturer in RCSI where he designed and delivered a musculoskeletal program for medical students.
Mr. Vioreanu recently joined Sports Surgery Clinic & St Francis Private Hospital, bringing the latest innovations and experience in knee and hip surgery from North America and Australia.

Philip O' Connor is a graduate from RCSI Medical School (1996).
His main areas of clinical practice include adult spine surgery and hip and knee replacement. Philip completed his surgical training on the Irish Higher Surgical Training programme in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, obtaining his degree FRCSI (Tr. & Orth.) in 2008. He was awarded CCST and entered onto the specialist register.
He then undertook fellowship training in Canada, spending one year at the Joint Replacement Institute at the University of Western Ontario, under Dr. Robert Bourne, training in all aspects of primary and revision Hip and knee replacement surgery.
Philip subsequently completed a second fellowship in spine surgery at the University of Montré al, training in all aspects of adult spine surgery, under Drs A. Jodoin, G. Maurais, P. Khoeuir and J.M. Mac-Thiong. He gained experience in minimally invasive trauma, adult degenerative and deformity surgery. Additional training was undertaken in scoliosis surgery, under Dr H. Labelle and Dr S. Parent.
Philip O' Connor has published several book chapters and numerous papers in the Orthopaedic and Spine literature.
He is member of several academic societies including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and AO Spine.
Mr O' Connor has an interest in the surgical treatment of all adult spinal conditions, and hip and knee replacements.

Mr Alonso Moreno is an Orthopaedic and Sports Consultant Surgeon specialising in the treatment of lower limb conditions at University Hospital La Paz, Madrid (Spain) and Hermitage Medical Clinic, Dublin (Ireland). He graduated from the University Complutense Madrid in 1991 with a First Class MBChB and awarded with the Erasmus Scholarship at University of Louvain, Hospital Saint Luc, Brussels (Belgium). His basic training in bone and joint conditions started in Madrid on the University Hospital Gregorio Marañón and University Hospital Getafe and was subsequently enhanced by training in Los Angeles County & USC Medical Center and The Avon Orthopaedic Centre, University of Bristol.
Mr Alonso Moreno's clinical and research endeavours have centred around knee reconstruction, sports injuries and biological therapies for bone and joint diseases. His interests include knee prosthetic design, outcomes assessment and revision surgery. Sports knee injuries, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction with bone-tendon-bone auto and allograft is a field of research and expertise. His work also encompasses novel strategies to manage patients with cartilage lesions and degenerative joint disorders with plasma rich in growth factors, chondrocyte transplantation and stem cell therapy. Stem cell therapy and its application to bone regeneration is the original academic research of his doctorate degree.
He has presented and published over a hundred scientific studies. He is a member of the Irish Orthopaedic Association and the Spanish Society of Orthopaedic Surgery (SECOT), being his General Secretary from 2004 to 2008, member of the European Orthopaedic Research Society (EORS), member of European Federation of Orthopaedic Societies (EFFORT), and International Member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).
